Thompson and Smith Ltd

Corona Virus Update

Nothing matters more to us than the health and wellbeing of our customers, our colleagues and their families.

For this reason, as of 5.00pm today we have made the decision to temporarily close our showroom and service department until further notice in response to the Coronavirus pandemic. We know this may cause some disappointment and apologise for any inconvenience. Our priority is to protect the welfare of our employees and customers and with the latest guidance from the government, we must honour this and do everything we can to protect our community and to reduce the further spread of the virus.

For those customers who are due to take delivery of their new vehicle, we are in the process of contacting those customers directly. Any Aftersales bookings are being cancelled and we will be in contact to re-arrange those customer bookings for when our premises re-open.

Although our showroom will be closed, you can still visit our website and enquire online should you have any questions or queries.

This is a situation that we have not had to deal with before, and we will be learning and adapting as we navigate the coming weeks together.

If you would like to follow our progress, we will use our social media pages to keep you updated on everything our teams are doing to support each other and our valued customers.

Please be aware that if your vehicle's MOT expiry date is on or after 30th March 2020, your vehicle will be automatically given a 6-month exemption. This means your current MOT expiry date is extended by 6 months.

For further details please visit the Government website.

We wish every member of our local community all the very best for the coming weeks and we look forward to welcoming you back to Thompson & Smith soon.
